First of all I want to make clear that I’m not physically leaving my smallholding here in Lincolnshire, it’s The Sustainable Smallholding Blog that is moving. Some of you may have seen advertisements when viewing the blog. These are not mine. This blog is hosted by WordPress for free, and the advertising is theirs, and pays for the hosting. It’s not too much of a worry, but I want some additional features from my web presence, such as the ability to upload video (notwithstanding our rubbish internet connection0, not be restricted to the amount of content included, and perhaps to generate some income for myself.
As I’m not that internet savvy, I’m not too sure how it will all pan out. In my ideal vision there will be a page marker left here so that people can find the new site easily, but I’m guessing that a lot of the incoming links to the site, and many of you who subscribe to the blog, may be lost. I hope that isn’t the case.
The upside is that I will be able to show video of what I’m doing, have no restrictions on the number and size of pictures that I use, and once I have fixed all of the broken links, I would hope to climb back up the search engine rankings, and be easy to find again.
So please watch this space, and if that doesn’t work, search for The Sustainable Smallholding in the New Year.
Wishing you all a happy holiday, of whatever type you may be celebrating
